PENSION SOLUTION WAS A LONG TIME COMING FOR TEAMSTERS
2021.03.11
More than two decades of work by the Teamsters to save the retirement nest eggs of a million-plus hardworking Americans came to fruition today when President Biden signed the $1.
On behalf of The Local 509, we would like to congratulate Larry Parks on the completion of over 25 years of excellent service with Holland. As one chapter ends, another begins! We hope you enjoy the fruits of your labor in prosperity and good health.
The Local Union 509 membership is informed that recently Brother Ready passed away at the age of 91. Brother Ready served honorably in the United States Army in the Korean War. Brother Ready began working in the trucking industry in 1951 and became an Executive Board Member of the Local Union. Brother Ready was instrumental in serving on every position on the Executive Board. In 1990 he reached the top spot by being elected as President. In 1992 Brother Ready made the decision to retire and spend more time with his beloved family as they all enjoyed the farm that was so very close to Brother Ready’s heart. Local Union 509 appreciates the dedication and commitment that Brother Ready unselfishly showed in paving the way for so many union members and their families. Brother Ready will be missed.
